One of the world’s oldest hop varieties, Czech Saaz provides a spicy, floral, peppery zing to many Continental beer styles. This classic noble hop is best known for its association with Pilsners, a style in which Saaz has been a mainstay for centuries. High levels of farnesene contribute to its inviting, herbal character. Saaz is the parent to two notable Southern Hemisphere hops: Motueka and Riwaka.
