2021 PERLE (GR)

Alpha Acids: 4 – 9%

Descended from Northern Brewer hops, Perle generally gets grouped in with the noble hops and other hops that exhibit floral, spicy, herbal characters (e.g., Tradition and Northern Brewer). As a result, Perle is most often used in Kӧlsch, altbier, Continental lagers, and Belgians. However, heavier late additions of Perle create fresh citrus, stone fruit, and pine flavors not typically associated with the hop. Perle also can be used as a mid-boil hop in some hop-forward beers.
