Pacifica is a bright, citrus-forward aroma hop with low levels of alpha acids and a moderate oil content. Developed through open pollination breeding of Hallertau Mittelfruh, Pacifica bursts with orange marmalade, pineapple, and juicy citrus flavors. Its high caryophyllene level gives it a spicy and floral aroma. Consider Pacifica to be the New Zealand version of a noble hop. It plays well in a variety of traditional Continental styles, notably the Pilsner and Kӧlsch.
