Alpha Acids: 16 – 20%

Moutere, meaning “island” in Maori, boasts high alpha acids along with a moderately high cohumulone content. A solid bittering hop, Moutere also has an elevated oil content (about 1.7 ml/100g), allowing it to function as a late addition hop. When used in the whirlpool or as a dry hop, Moutere imparts a light tropical and citrus nose with hints of pine and berry, while its flavor leans toward herbal, earthy spice and resin.
